TD Garden circus

The Celtics/Suns game was entertaining despite Boston's shooting woes. I was very disappointed in the carnival atmosphere surrounding - and competing with the game itself. The 'Celtics Dancers' are not necessary and are a Bush League distraction from what should be a professional athletic event. The clowns jumping on trampolines to dunk basketballs is another tremendous distraction. Blasting music noise at every whistle stop - why do the Celtics believe people need to be 'entertained' every second of the night? Isn't the game supposed to be the entertainment? The fans are watching ball players do what very few people in the world can do and that's play professional basketball! Isn't that enough to entertain, or are the fans so needy for action that even a whistle stop during the game will cause them to be bored out of their minds? And lastly, the fans infatuation with being seen on camera is embarrassing. Our culture is so self-indulgent already. Do fans who want to watch a game also have to see humans acting like clowns to get attention? The circus-like feeling took away from the game. I don't know how any player can concentrate on playing good basketball when all of that noise, clowning, and 'dancing' is going on all around them. I hope the Celtics re-visit their decisions and decide to take away most, if not all, of the needless distractions that permeate the TD Garden during a basketball game. I was very disappointed. I love watching the Celtics and am glad such distractions are not as noticeable while watching the games at home on TV. The parking attendants beneath the Garden were outstanding. They were helpful and directed the traffic very well. Kudos to the arena staff everywhere.
